Pepper learning about Coulson’s death
Why these two ALWAYS manage to reduce me like this every. single. time. they’re in a movie?
Despite what a lot of people have been trying to tell me, Loki is, in fact, a villain.
“Looking at Tony and Bruce’s outfits at the end of the movie, I’m just gonna put this out there: Bruce is wearing Tony’s clothes. They’re about the same size and build, Bruce’ outfit is way snazzier than his usual style, and we already know that Tony practically asked Bruce to move in with him the day they met. Tony loaned him an outfit from his no-doubt gargantuan Stark closet because they’re Science Bros now, plus Bruce’s only other clothes were reduced to a pair of torn short-shorts when he Hulked out. Also, Tony knows that this is Bruce’s first (positive) interaction with the press, and if there’s anything Tony Stark’s good at, it’s putting on a show.”

Agent Flowers reporting in!
The Mission to get the message out to Agent Coulson seemed to be going all according to plan…
Until I received a very unexpected visitor.
The way he whispers her name.
I don’t think it’s really spoilery, but just in case for the last panel, I will just throw this out there so you can’t get mad at me if you think it’s spoilery ; )
Just a doodle idek
They all stumbled into Stark Towers, well the lower part that had not been almost destroyed, and proceeded to collapse. Pepper helped Tony to one of the bedrooms and the pair locked the door. Steve plopped onto a couch and immediately let himself “rest his eyes” for a moment. Thor dropped his hammer on the floor and no one even flinched as it dented the hard wood. He dropped on the other side of the couch and stretched out his large body before passing out himself. Bruce went off in search of a bedroom and some scented candles, no one asked about the last part. All Natasha wanted was a shower, and maybe sleep, but mostly a shower. She found a spare bedroom with a huge bathroom, but best of all, an equally large shower.
She turned the water on too high but didn’t complain as it singed her skin. She scrubbed off dirt and blood and tried to get that sick feeling in the pit of her stomach to go away. She should be happy, everyone was safe, no one had died, well no one on the team had died. She got out of the shower before she could pass out on the tiles and wrapped one of Stark’s overly fluffy towels around her. She stood in front of the mirror for a minute, clutching the towel around her body and studying her reflection. She looked down at the pile of clothes Pepper or someone must have dropped off while she was in the shower and she was grateful that someone could think clearly today. She pulled on a tank top and pair of yoga pants, before slipping back into the bedroom. Clint was passed out cold on the bed, uniform and all, looking oddly peaceful. She was too tired to find another room and frankly, just didn’t want to be alone, so she climbed in beside him.
She rested her head on his chest and he moved in his sleep, or whatever state of consciousness he was in, to wrap an arm around her.
“I’m glad you’re back,” she whispered into his chest and she felt him tighten his grip on her and she smiled.
When Nick Fury arrived the next morning to check on the team he tried not to act surprised when he found Thor and Steve practically cuddling on the couch. He didn’t question it when he found Bruce on the floor next to a bed surrounded by extinguished candles. He actually wasn’t that surprised to find a note stuck to a door informing him that Tony and Pepper had taken the Jet to Paris. He could only smile at the sight of Natasha and Clint tangled in each others limbs, fully clothed of course, and fast asleep. He left the breakfast on the table beside Steve and Thor and took the car back to head quarters, deciding to leave them alone for a while. They did deserve it after, you know, saving the world and all.
